InBalance Wellness Spa
As InBalance Grew, Its Marketing Needed Clearer Direction
Ongoing marketing leadership, messaging, website and email strategy, print materials, and digital marketing direction

The Challenge
InBalance Wellness Spa offers massage therapy, skin treatments, assisted stretching, and other services designed to help clients feel better in their bodies and more confident in their skin. As the business has grown, InBalance has continued to expand and refine its services.
The spa had real expertise and a team committed to understanding each client’s individual needs.
But marketing a wellness business with a broad range of services gets complicated fast. Each treatment needs to be described clearly without sounding clinical. Promotions need to draw attention without feeling pushy.
The real challenge was deciding what deserved attention and keeping every channel aligned around the same priorities and message. Adding a new treatment was never just a matter of putting it on the website. Its name, description, booking language, and place in the broader service menu all needed to work together so clients could understand how it fit and whether it was right for them.
The InBalance team was focused on running the spa and caring for clients. They needed a partner who understood the whole business, could help set priorities, and could keep the different pieces of the marketing moving in the same direction.
The Shift
We started working with InBalance in May 2022, after a digital marketing audit identified opportunities across its website, SEO, and advertising.
As new services, promotions, and website needs emerged, our conversations became more strategic. It became clear that each channel couldn’t simply perform well on its own. Every part of the marketing needed to work together and reflect the same experience clients receive inside the spa.
That shift, from managing individual channels to guiding them as one coordinated marketing effort, became the foundation for how we work with InBalance today. Monthly conversations now give the InBalance team a regular place to step back, talk through what’s happening in the business, and decide where the marketing should focus next.

What We Did
Set Priorities and Direction
We meet with the InBalance team each month to review priorities and marketing opportunities, and to look at key performance indicators across the website, search, and advertising.
We also pay attention to changes in how people search for services, how marketing platforms are performing, and how search engines and AI-driven tools interpret website content. That helps us adjust the strategy based on what is working now, rather than continuing with an approach simply because it worked in the past.
Together, that information helps the team decide where to focus, what can wait, and how each effort fits the larger direction of the business.
Clarify the Message and Client Experience
We help InBalance describe its services in language that’s accurate and easy for clients to understand, staying consistent with the calm, welcoming tone of the spa and avoiding language that feels too clinical or overly promotional.
That same clarity carries through the website, where we guide updates so new services, treatments, and promotions fit the site’s larger structure.
We also create and refine printed materials that support conversations inside the spa and reinforce the same message clients see online.
Coordinate Marketing Across Channels
We created a 90-day email roadmap to help InBalance plan topics, offers, timing, and audience segments more intentionally. The roadmap gives the team a structure they can continue using to keep email content useful, balanced, and aligned with current priorities.
We also guide the tone and content of Google Business Profile and social media posts.
For advertising and search, we set the strategic direction and coordinate with a specialized digital partner on execution. The focus is on connecting that activity to the services InBalance wants to grow rather than simply driving more traffic.
What Is Different Now
InBalance now has one connected approach to marketing. Every channel is guided by the same priorities and shaped around the experience the business wants clients to have.
Instead of making decisions channel by channel, the team has a regular process for reviewing the business as a whole, checking key performance indicators, and deciding what the marketing needs to support next.
That coordinated approach has shown measurable results. After aligning the message, website, email, social content, and ads around one Mother’s Day promotion, gift card sales increased 27% year over year.
That clearer experience is showing up in feedback from more than one direction. One client told Alice how quickly and easily he found what he needed on the website before booking. Alice had a similar reaction herself. After reviewing updated copy for the service menu, she said it made her feel heard and reflected InBalance’s services in a way she appreciated.
The difference also shows up in how decisions get made. A new service now follows a defined path, from naming and positioning to where it lands on the website and how it gets promoted. Marketing decisions are made against agreed priorities, not whichever opportunity feels most urgent that week.
Over the years, InBalance’s services and priorities have continued to evolve. The team is no longer starting from scratch each time. Each decision now fits within a clearer strategy and a more consistent message.

“Tracey has gotten to know our business really well, and that makes a big difference. When we have a new service, promotion, or idea, she helps us think through what makes sense, what needs attention first, and how it all fits together. She listens, asks good questions, and has a way of putting things into words that feels true to who we are. I always feel like she understands what we're trying to say, and she helps make it easier for our clients to understand too.”

Why This Project Matters
InBalance already had the expertise and caring team clients valued. It did not need more disconnected marketing activity. It needed a partner who could connect business priorities, client needs, and the work happening across channels.
That ongoing support gives the team a consistent way to set priorities, communicate clearly, and adjust as the business, customer behavior, and marketing environment continue to evolve.
